Creating an Email Account in cPanel

Hoststack Team·3 min read

Every Hoststack shared and reseller hosting plan includes cPanel email accounts on your own domain — no extra software needed. Here's how to create one, set a mailbox quota, and start sending and receiving mail in a couple of minutes.

Before you start

  • Your domain must be pointed to Hoststack nameservers, or have an MX record pointing to our mail servers
  • You'll need your cPanel login — find the URL and credentials in your welcome email or the client area
  • Check your plan's mailbox limit and total email storage quota in the client area before creating multiple accounts

Steps to create the account

  • Log in to cPanel and open Email Accounts under the Email section
  • Click + Create, then enter the username (e.g. "sales") — it will combine with your domain automatically
  • Set a strong password, or use the built-in password generator, and note it down securely
  • Set a storage quota (or leave unlimited if your plan allows) and click Create
  • The mailbox is active immediately — no propagation wait, since it lives on the same server as your domain's MX record

Accessing your new mailbox

From the Email Accounts list, click Check Email → Open next to any account to launch webmail (Roundcube or Horde) directly in the browser — useful for a quick test send. For everyday use, set it up in Outlook, Gmail, or Apple Mail using IMAP or POP3; see our guide on email client settings for the exact server addresses and ports.
